People keep calling this series “incest”, even though it’s not really. They aren’t related by blood. You’ve most likely heard both sides of the discussion by now, but I’m voicing the side I am on. You’ve also likely forgotten about this series, as people do when new seasons of anime arrive. Even if you wanted to say that close step siblings count as incest, they didn’t even communicate before the series started. Well, outside of her stomping the ground when hungry and him being a slave.
Eromanga-sensei is about a light novel author, Masamune, whom sells (assuming he does at all) because his artist is a god of art and lewdity. He soon finds out that said artist is actually a goddess of art and lewdity, and is in fact, his little sister. Hilarity ensues.
Soon after this, he is challenged by a naked female with pointy ears named fittingly as, “Elf” Yamada, whom of the two authors can write the better LN. Winner taking Sagiri (Masamune’s little sister)’s virginity. MC writes about his devotion to his little sister, a love letter in the form of a light novel and the siblings begin their goal of making it an official publication.
There are other girls, most notably Muramasa, whose name sounds a lot like MC-kun’s and she was inspired by his writing to become an yet another author in the series, because every teen in Japan is an author these days, and Jinno (Geno for smash confirmed). She likes dick. Really, that’s basically her character is the fact she is perverted, while not knowing what she is talking about.
10/10 One of the best manga I’ve read so far. The only negative thing I really have to say about it is that the translation is so far behind the anime, it’s atrocious. Though, I don’t remember a fake Eromanga being in the anime, so maybe it’s ahead now, but I remember being so pissed at how quickly the anime got ahead of the manga’s translation.
The very same translator was translating Tate no Yuusha, another very good manga that takes ages to update. I think they are trying to translate like 20 series, even though they clearly can’t keep up with most of them.
